Hungry Hornets

Alma Center Assembly of God began serving our school and students in the fall 2025 by providing a meal for students, faculty, and those in the community that were coming to the Open Recreation Nights sponsored by the school district. Whether it was students getting out of sports practice, their parents who were swinging by to pick them up, or any who came early to spend a few hours enjoying the school facilities - Hungry Hornets was there to provide a nice hot meal! 

Hungry Hornets started out as a simple idea to help our school students get a good meal and provide a safe place to hang out while they waited for their parents or after school activities to start. This vision was contagious and the churches in our area began to band together toward this mission. Alma Center Assembly and United Methodist Church of Alma Center moved forward together in pursuit of this vision. Along with volunteers from several other area churches this has truly become a joint effort to support our students and the community at large.
